Doug was taking out the trash & I'm not sure if this happens to you or not but when it is cold outside his finger seems to shrink... so he was throwing a bag in the trash (outside can) and guess what??? His ring came off... IT WENT TO THE VERY BOT|TOM!!!! GROSS... I of course held the flashlight while he dug... Hope this NEVER happens again!
We had such a great soccer season... the 1st practice I went into labor with Andrew so I knew this would be a interesting season.. thankfully Doug decided not to coach and we had coaches for all 3 kiddos & we were not the coach/ team mom!.. that was NICE.. although Doug has said he is coaching in the spring!.. here are some fun pics from the season!

Then it was the end of the year parties.... soooo sad that I forgot the camera for Calebs & Lane did not have one.. oh well... Alexis' team had a great one.. here are some pics
This is one of the kiddos favorite things to do EVERY year... really the only time they like to rake.. many of you know how many trees we have & soooo we have LOTS of leaves to rake... what I am saying is that they don't usually like to rake but this day they did!... I had a blast watching them..
As I am catching up on all my blogs.. you will find this being a trend.. I get so busy then one day I will sit and do it all at one time.. oh well... that is just how it is going to be... maybe that could be something I could work on!
This was a bitter sweet day for Dad... as many of you know my step mom passed away back in June... It has been some rough days for dad,.. not only was this his 1st birthday without her, thanksgiving has come and gone & it was rough but he must go through Christmas & then her birthday is at the end of January...
so the kiddos and I decided we would take him to Longhorn for his birthday... we had a GREAT time & I snapped some pics that I will give him for Christmas.. shhhhh don't tell him... If you think to pray for him during the next few months that would be great! There is power in prayer.
And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and (really) believing, you will receive ... Matthew 21:22
This was about 3 weeks ago, Andrew started having the "crud" in his eye!... oh noooooo I thought!... he is soooo young & I just HATE medicine... I called my holistic friend, Angela, who I JUST love.. ok Angela Andrew has "crud" in his eye what do I do... she told me to take a chamomile tea bag and steep it... place it on his eye (of course after it had cooled to warm) and leave it there for 10 minutes or so...
did it & guess what??????? IT WORKED... I just love her not just because she gave me this tip but because of who she is and her convictions.. she is a TRUE women of God and I just want to "pick" her brain with all the stuff/knowledge she knows! Thanks again Angela H..
I often go to the store, restaurant, etc & the questions is Are these ALL yours?? yes!... then the next response is "how many more will you have", "you know what prevents that", "I would be crazy", "I don't envy you"... and on and on!.... I feel so blessed by God to have 4 children & if he sees it fit for our family to have more then we will!...
Even in those moments when I think I have just had enough I get little reminders from the kiddos that they are a gift from above!.. God has truly blessed me with unique personalities... here is a little preview of them....
Alexis..... What a beautiful girl inside & out!... she has a servants heart & LOVES the Lord!.. What a breath of fresh air with her!
What a handsome boy!.. this boy has such a gentle spirit about him!... he is always thinking of others more than himself!
Lane..... Free Spirit I must say!.. God will use this little girl in ways I can never imagine... she ALWAYS keeps me on my toes!
Andrew.... being number 4 he has to fit in with this family... he is sooooo content with whatever!... I just melt when he smiles at me!......
I can remember having Alexis & loving her SO much & when we got pregnant with Caleb the thought went through my head "How can I love another one?"... and now 4 children later I can say "you can love them all."
SO.... to answer the question YES God has in trusted Doug & I with these children & it is our job to raise them up to be Godly men & women... I am thankful to be called "mommy & momma"....
