SWIMMING!!!! one of our favorite things... grandmothers pool!

This has been something that the kiddos look foward to EVERY year... moms pool opening up and swimming!.. we had a blast everytime... we didn't get up there as much this year because of Andrew and his age and we have just been so busy here in Griffin... here are some GREAT pictures!

Lane is our biggest animal lover in the family!...  she just LOVES them....  we are more "dog"people in our family  BUT Lane is a CAT kiddo....  she can't get ENOUGH of cats...  she has been begging for one and so at Christmas time we got a cat for her ..  LILY well we had Lily for about 2 weeks and decided to let her explore outside and well you guessed it she ran away... SAD day in the Lawrence house... well 2 months later we caved again and got her another cat and this one was pumpkin.... well instead of boring you with those details we had decided we were a "catch and release center"... enough of that kitty stuff we decided until about a month ago.....  I had been telling Lane about this sweet kitten at airport rd park and I would see her EVERY morning and EVERY morning Lane would ask me did I see her and of course yes.., we tried and tried to catch her with NO luck... Doug and I talked and decided not only would we get Lane a tame cat but we would help out the Bresendines getting rid of one of theirs!.. soooooooo  here we go... SHARONA!!!!   she is tame... THANK YOU CAMILLE BRESENDINE!!!!!!  if you need a cat handler call Jen B!... she is a REALLY sweet adjusted cat, and Lane is too!



I really am back.... 2 months since the last blog!

Just reminding you all what the kiddos look like :) been a while!

Wow... the saying that the older you get the faster the time goes....  ohhhhh soooooo true! time flies too when you are having fun ....  I have once again remembered I have a blog, and again I have NEGLECTED it.....  thankful that the Lord is gracious in so many ways and I know he is in this one too! Well some of the things that we have done. Doug went to Guyana, Andrew had his 1st birthday, went swimming , big kiddos went to G and G, Alexis broken foot, Doug in Texas, Started school, Lane started Kindergarten, visited Clemson... and I am sure there is something missing But I might blog about that later...  oh well....  I am thankful to be back and can't wait to share all that the Lord is doing in the Lawrence Life!

Last Day of School Luau....... what a FUN day!

We had a WONDERFUL school year..... this was the BEST decision we ever made was to homeschool (we do take it year by year). We decided to end with a LUAU to celebrate a school year but also we studied each state and it ended with Hawii so why not have a LUAU to celebrate.. hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed having this!

Happy Birthday Caleb... now get to mowing .... LOL

 Caleb had his 8th birthday on May 7, 2011...  we had been talking for months about getting him a mower... soooooo guess what we did! he was SOOOO excited and he can't wait to earn some money with it. we also had a combined party with Enoch Davis BUT I took zero pictures (can you believe it??) we had about 70 people at our house... great fellowship, food, fun, jumpies, dislocated arm, you name it we had it...here are pictures of the lawnmower...

Race for the cure....... May 7, 2011

This was GREAT.... Doug through his work got us prepaid entries to this race....  We were very excited to be apart of a great cause as this has hit us so close to home... My AUNT NAN  is a Breast cancer survivor and we recently had a wonderful mom, friend and  mentor die in March from this so again this was SO close to our hearts..we miss you so much DIANA DAVIS....  we decided that we would make this a "family" thing... with the exception of Andrew and we added in a Greenwood and a Wyatt...  thanks to Ashley for watching Andrew...  we had a BLAST with 18,000 other people... thank goodness that we all wore the same color shirt so we could keep up with everyone.

Lets HOPE one day there will be a cure for this disease... 

Day with the Slades.......

What a great day this was... Todd brought the boys over and we had a house full... kinda, I mean KINDA knew what it was like to be in the Davis family (they have 11 children).well maybe not I only had 6(so that must be like the Greenwoods) LOL .. we had the living room cordoned off so we had no escapees.. Alexis did a GREAT job at helping me and Caleb was GREAT entertainment... Lane just wanted to "pet" Joshua....  we had a WONDERFUL Day and I was thankful that I could help out Todd and Jennifer...
