Dot on the calendar......

What a BLESSING it was a couple of weeks ago we had our new family life pastor over and his family!.. we were so excited because we had to find an "open" spot on their calendar.. Alyssa gave me a whole lesson about how they make plans, send request, and invite (of course I still probably got it all wrong in explaining) and all of this is on a PHONE....  I am sooooo not techno!.. but I will take all the lessons from them that they want to give!..  we had a GREAT night with grilled hot dogs (well some bigger than others), beans, slaw... good ole southern grill out~!..  the food and  fellowship was so much fun!...  I am now thankful to call them friends now!.. what a blessing they are to our church and Alexis has just LOVED Maddie!.. here are some pics

sometimes I feel as if I am in the "routine" and sometimes  I feel like I might just get a little to boring so last Thursday, i decided to surprise the kiddos with a picnic..I packed it and we headed to the car to pickup  Lane at school.. She got in the car and I said... hey lets go on a picnic... so we did..  I really want the kiddos to see me having a good time...  good for BOTH of our hearts!...  It was a BLAST!!!!   can't wait to do it again!

This was a GREAT birthday for Alexis, we have done parties in the past BUT this year she could choose to have a party or go someplace with one of her friends!.. kinda glad she chose the latter because she had been SOOOO gracious to my mother in law who goes to church with a family in need and Alexis cleaned out her closet and she really needed some shoes and thankfully she has that giving heart!!!!!!!!!..  we went to Macon with her BEST friend Allison and that girl is a TROOPER (Allison)... she is NOT a shopper BUT she did want Alexis to feel special since it was her special day... We also went to a Japanese restaurant when G & G were here.. that is always fun!... then we went a couple of days later with my dad and Alexis chose Ryan's! it is always nice to see dad!...  BUT I think the thing she thought was fun as well is getting her boot off!...yay not broken foot!

What a SWEET boy the Lord has in trusted to us to raise in the ways of the Lord!.. He is easy going, smiley (if that is a word) and just a JOY to be around!...  we had his birthday with some of our sweetest family and friends...  some could not be there and we missed them so much BUT we still had a GREAT time celebrating!... hope you enjoy his smiles like we do!

Stone Mountain! what a fun trip...

One of the our favorite things to do is go to Stone Mountain at least 2 time a year.... we have done this ever since Alexis was 3 and it is something that we look FORWARD to every year!... so this year is NO different!... we got an email from Trish Cobb wanting to know if we like to go so of course if we are open Doug and I LOVE to get together with friends!...  YES!!!!!  as the day got closer Doug and I started talking about our prior trips, we came to the fact that there has not been ONE time we have climb the mountain without holding someone! well this is going on 6 years sooooooooo   again we carried Andrew in the hiking backpack!.. we really have become professionals at this! :)  we had a great climb and then we headed over to the BIG lawn and waited for the laser show~!......  the Bresindines and the Davies joined us and we had a BLAST!!!!! memories memories memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... what a great day that the Lord provided for us!... 

~we will miss the Cobb's but these memories will last a LIFETIME!!!!~
